Stramit Longspan Roofing Sheet | Marco Roofing
Longspan cladding provides an economical and versatile alternative to conventional building designs. It can reduce substructure costs, construction times and floor area and offers a flexible column-free space inside the building. Long span roofs also have many of the same functions as normal roofs such as protecting against the weather, restricting the spread of fire and providing thermal and sound insulation.
Stramit Longspan has superior water-carrying capacity compared to most close pitched trapezoidal profiles, making it suitable for low roof slopes. These, combined with decking stiffness, can allow roof run lengths to be limited. Refer to the Stramit Roof Slope Guide for more information.
Suitable for use in a variety of applications, Longspan cladding can be used in industrial and civil buildings, warehouses, special buildings, production workshops, large exhibition halls etc. It can also be used as wall cladding, car/bike shed roofing and garden shed walls.
The Longspan profile has a continuous sheet of trapezoidal ribs 27mm high, spaced at 100mm centres. The cladding is manufactured from protected steel sheet to AS1397 (G550 colour coated or zinc-aluminium alloy coated) and can be supplied in both severe environment and galvanised options depending on location. The cladding is fixed to the purlins/girts with fasteners that conform to AS3566 – Class 3 and must be provided with a seal at the apex.
