Discord account suspended, need help avoiding future bans

I run community management for a decent-sized gaming company and we use Discord to handle announcements, updates, and player support across multiple servers. Last week my main account got suspended completely out of the blue. Tried appealing through their support system and it was pointless, just generic responses that led nowhere. Had to set up a new account and manually rejoin all our servers, re-add all the contacts and roles from memory. Now I'm paranoid this is gonna happen again. What triggers Discord to suspend accounts and how do I make sure I don't get wiped out like that again?

Discord's moderation is brutal and they don't explain themselves when they hit you with a ban. Could be rapid server joins, mass DMs to users, or even just being reported by someone who didn't like what you said in chat. Their automated systems flag anything that looks like bot behavior or spam activity. If you're managing multiple communities and jumping between servers constantly, or sending similar messages to different channels, that's exactly the kind of pattern their algorithms watch for. They expect you to keep everything under one account but then punish you when that account looks too active.

Managing multiple communities means you're always one report away from losing access to everything you've built. Discord doesn't care that you're doing legitimate work, their system just sees suspicious activity and pulls the trigger. You can read about what to do if your Discord account is banned or suspended and how to avoid it here: https://gologin.com/blog/the-easiest-way-to-run-multiple-discord-accounts/ . Shows how to set up backup accounts that won't get linked to your main one, ways to distribute your activity so you're not tripping their detection systems, and what behaviors get flagged most often. Keeps you from losing everything when they decide to swing the ban hammer.
