Vishal Kampani is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of JM Financial Limited, one of India’s leading diversified financial services groups. With over 25 years of experience across investment banking, capital markets, private equity, and structured finance, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the Group’s evolution into a trusted partner for India’s most respected corporates, investors, and entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, JM Financial has expanded from a capital markets-led franchise into a full-spectrum financial institution with a robust presence across private credit, private equity, housing finance, asset management, and institutional advisory. His ability to blend legacy stewardship with strategic innovation has positioned the Group as a forward-facing, high-governance platform for long-term value creation.

Vishal began his career with JM Financial and Morgan Stanley in New York before returning to India in 2000. He led the JM Morgan Stanley Corporate Finance division and advised on several landmark IPOs, M&A deals, and debt restructurings that shaped India’s capital markets. He continues to bring deep conviction to sectors like infrastructure, industrials, retail, and B2B services.

He serves as Vice President of the All India Management Association (AIMA), is an active member of SEBI’s Primary Market Advisory Committee, and contributes to key financial policy discussions through CII’s BFSI Council. He was recognized by The Economic Times as one of India’s top “40 Under 40” leaders and holds a Master’s in Finance from London Business School.
