I think that the thing that was the most important for me --and which I'm sure that's why Mike Morhaime, co-founder, and former president of Blizzardwas able to choose me for this job--was the fact that Blizzard is truly a developer-led company and that the product and the game-focused focus we have are in place, throughout all the leadership levels, which is crucial and extremely robust.

One among the very first actions that I took on was to bring Ray Gresko on as the chief development officer. Then, I also to add Allen Adham to the executive team in order to make the percentage of people creating games and who have recently developed games a bit higher. The company is refocusing on its primary goal and an emphasis on the things that have made Blizzard's games great games. That's fundamental, the beginning of the work we've tried to do.

And what kind of direction the company will take into?I believe that the primary thing that is a fact that has been proven over time and will continue to remain so in the future, is that we're an values-driven company, and we make most of our important strategic decisions with that perspective.

Looking back, I believe any time you are a founder who's been in charge for over 28 years, I think that it's normal and reasonable to have fear, uncertainty and doubt over how we'll continue in the future.

What I feel is vital for people to know is the principles that have built this place and built Blizzard are still exactly the same. We continue to put gameplay first in all. We continue to focus on providing fantastic player experiences and a great community focus for everything that we do. And that is more vital when we look towards the future.
