PM Kisan Tractor Yojana
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Yojana (PMKTY) is a tractor subsidy scheme for farmers in India. The scheme was launched by the Indian government in 2020 and aims to provide financial assistance to farmers who purchase new or second-hand tractors. Under the scheme, eligible farmers can receive a subsidy of up to 50% of the cost of the tractor, up to a maximum of Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
The PMKTY scheme is open to all Indian farmers, regardless of their economic status. To be eligible for the subsidy, farmers must have a valid tractor registration certificate and must be able to provide proof of ownership of the tractor. The subsidy will be paid directly to the farmer's bank account. The PMKTY scheme is a part of the government's larger effort to boost the agricultural sector.
