PM Krishi Vikas Yojana
The Pradhan Mantri Krishi Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is a flagship scheme of the Government of India that was launched in 2015. The scheme aims to promote sustainable agricultural growth in India by providing financial and technical assistance to farmers. The PMKVY is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
Under the scheme, farmers are provided with training and skills development support, as well as financial assistance for agricultural projects. The scheme also supports the establishment of new farming enterprises and the adoption of improved farming practices. To date, the scheme has benefited over 10 million farmers across India.
The PMKVY is just one of the many initiatives of the Government of India that are aimed at supporting the agricultural sector. Other schemes include the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
