Toyota Avanza overview
The latest Toyota Avanza was launched in the Philippines in March 2022 with four variants: 1.3 J MT, 1.3 E MT, 1.3 E CVT, and 1.5 G CVT. There are two options of engine: one is the 1.3-liter powerplant which can generate to 97 horsepower and 122 Nm of torque, and the other is the 1.5-liter engine with 105 horsepower and 108 Nm of torque. Both 4-speed automatic transmissions or 5-speed manual transmissions are paired with the Toyota Avanza engine.

Exterior
On the outside, the new Avanza is equipped as standard with a rear spoiler, front foglamps, LED taillights, and a pair of LED headlamps. Each one has a 4,395mm length and 1,730mm width. With a height of 1,665mm, the J variant is the shortest. The top-of-the-line G is the tallest at 1,700mm, followed by the E at 1,690mm.
Interior
All Avanza trims have roomy interior for seven passengers. Additionally, each has seats covered in two-tone fabric, a 60:40 tumble slide for the first row, and a 50:50 tumble down for the second row with a sofa mode.
A push-to-start button, a 4.2-ich TFT multi-information display, a tilt and telescoping steering column, and audio controls located on the steering wheel are only found on the top-spec G.
Technology and Safety
The E and G models offer an eight-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity as standard on-board entertainment. The J, on the other hand, has a smaller 6.45-inch display and only supports USB, Bluetooth, and Aux-in connectivity. Four speakers are connected to each head unit.
The top-spec G gets six airbags for safety, while the other models get dual front airbags. Stability control, hill-start assistance, ISOFIX child seat tethers, and speed-sensing door locks are among the features that come standard on all grades. Parking cameras, rear parking sensors, car alarms, and engine immobilizers are only available on the E and G models.
