1. Treadmills The treadmill belt is the most common type of exercise equipment used today. They are typically used indoors and are usually powered by electricity. They are often used for running, walking, jogging, cycling, cross training, and many other types of exercises. There are two basic types of treadmills: indoor and outdoor. Indoor treadmills are generally smaller and lighter than their outdoor counterparts. 2. Belt A treadmill belt is the mechanism that moves the user forward while they are exercising. A typical treadmill belt consists of a pulley system that connects to a motor. This motor turns the pulleys, which then move the belt around the treadmill. When the belt turns, it pushes the user forward.
3. Motor A treadmill motor is the device that powers the treadmill belt. Most motors are electric, but some models are gas powered. Electric motors are much quieter than gas powered ones. 4. Pulley System Pulleys are small wheels attached to the ends of the belt. As the belt turns, the pulleys turn with it. The pulleys help the belt move smoothly and evenly across the treadmill.
